Football at The Akademy
The Akademy is host to four 3G Astroturf Pitches, and is the home to many local leagues. Each pitch is flood-lit every night until 10pm. The pitches are also rented for private use, and are open from 7am to 10pm.
The Akademy is the only FA Affiliated sports ground in the Sheffield and Chesterfield area, meaning that each coach and referee is authorised with the Football Association. With this, all the games and coaching sessions are played in accordance with the strict FA regulations, and this keeps the matches clean and fair. This makes the Akademy the ideal location for your league.
We currently have leagues on a Sunday evening through to thursday evening at various levels. Enquire about leagues.
Kids Parties - This is the perfect place to hold a Childrens Birthday Party. Spend and hour of action packed fun on the state of the Art 5 a side 3G pitches, followed by free use of our Bar/Function room to enjoy your own food, and use the Big Screen to watch the latest football action or your favourite cartoons. Enquire about private hire.
Kids Coaching - Every Saturday morning coaching is carried out by our FA Affiliated coaches and is open for boys and girls. Sessions are run for 6-8 years and 8-14 years. Enquire about coaching.
